If I shall be bold enough to you all and express one of the deepest thoughts of my mind then I would be talking about the very fact that this entire universe as perceived by us humans is not governed by basic laws of our respective sociological hierarchies but by either of these two words one is EGO and the other is SEX.
Now I know that is a pretty bold statement, and I just can’t get away like that without explaining myself. Well, in my defence to everyone who have their brows raised by now I would like to tell you all something and that little something is the very essence of almost everything that happens around us today in our day to day lives.
Now whatever I am about to write from here on that is utterly and exclusively my own opinion and I sincerely hope that I do not hurt anyone’s sentiments or beliefs and if unknowingly I do I apologize in advance.
Like I have pointed it out before that everything and anything that happens in this world of ours can be derived and deduced unto two indispensable reasons either EGO or SEX.
Well to start with if we talk about EGO then we must realise that to refer it as “the ego of an individual”, is a wrong way of reference rather we should say “the ego in an individual” thereby treating it as a separate entity or in fact going to the extent of personifying it and making everyone of us potentially schizophrenics!!
Start with the very basic things in life from your house to your mother, from your relation with your girlfriend to the diary that you own…there is a cavernous sense of attachment from everything that becomes your possession and here lies the hitch of the ego, you cannot exclude it from your system no matter how hard you try, no matter what you do there always exists an ego and it creeps inside every thought and action that you share with yourself and others.
There lies the darkest and the gloomiest secret of the human psyche, our every effort for a better tomorrow, for a better position in this society, a better stand at things and situations…everything is to satisfy and quench our EGO with the delight of triumph.
Think about it…why you strive so meticulously for everything? for money, for pleasures, Luxury…it all comes down to the comparison you do with all the other people in this world and think how can “I” be left behind…. There are so many people around us who are precariously attached to such petty things and they don’t even realise that they are literal slaves of there own EGO….
The Bhagwat Geeta states in the karma yoga-
“When a man thinks of objects, attachment for them arises, from attachment, desire is born. From desire arises anger, from anger comes delusion, from delusion the loss of memory, and from the loss of memory comes the destruction of discrimination. And from the destruction of discrimination he perishes.
The above philosophy is not just an idea but the escalation of man from being merely influenced to being thoroughly governed by his own ego…
The next question to be raised is the fact that how is sex related to everything….in my opinion and this specially applies to our Indian society where sex is literally forbidden to talk about….in general of course…Sex again derives its strength as a psychological catalyst from EGO itself…the bliss is only a categorisation and a fathoming scale to deduce the relevance of one’s deep seeded insecurities that arise due to a disgruntled EGO…
Man leaves behind his communal outlooks and brings forward his primary instincts…the desire to mate…and that arises when he cannot be in command of his EGO…his peculiarly grave desire to entice and celebrate the attention of the opposite sex…and same thing applies to women as well coz under any situation EGO is not sexist like most of us…
On a more subtle level how many men would deny that they just can’t say no to a beautiful woman??…even if it causes them some trouble…and how many women would say that they don’t go after chocolaty men and give them all the right signals?
Its all there my friends…EGO and SEX…these two things are superseding everything around us…and we must rupture the cycle that we are jammed in…smash to smithereens the shackles and come out as individuals not bound or slaved but as the masters of our own selves if not this universe at least…
